“One of the best one day hikes in the world”, that’s what they say about the Tongariro Crossing. For sure it is one of the busiest hikes I have ever seen:
It is a stunning walk, but I have enjoyed other hikes more, especially the ones not crowded by hundreds of people in inappropriate gear ;-) Looking forward to the Milford track in March, there is a 90 people per day limit on the track.
